Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Beijing
On arrival in Beijing, be transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Beijing Explorations
On a full day tour, wander through Tiananmen Square before continuing under the Gate of Heavenly Peace into the Forbidden City. Explore the few remaining hutongs and courtyard houses by rickshaw. Enjoy a delicious lunch with a local family. Walk to the city’s famous Drum Tower to see the traditional drum beating.
Day 3: Beijing – Great Wall of China
Enjoy a full day tour of China’s most famous attraction – the Great Wall. Journey to Mutianyu, a less crowded section of the wall, considered one of the most spectacular with numerous guard towers and stirring views. Explore this site at your own pace. Admire the panoramic views and reflect on the enormity of the material and labour required for its construction. Enjoy a local lunch today and in the evening, sample a delicious Peking duck dinner.
Day 4: Beijing Discovery
Rise early to experience the atmosphere of the park surrounding the Temple of Heaven. Continue on this morning tour to the Summer Palace and wander through the extensive grounds of the royal garden.
Day 5: Beijing to Xian
Be transferred to the airport for your flight this morning. Fly to Xian and be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, spend time exploring the city on a guided tour. Discover the city wall before continuing to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Explore the heart of the lively Muslim Quarter and visit the Great Mosque. This evening, sample Xian’s famous dumplings at a local restaurant. Stay the next two nights at Grand Mercure on Renmin Square (or similar).
Day 6: Xian – Army of Terracotta Warriors
On a full day tour, begin with a morning walk through City Park. Travel from Xian to the Army of Terracotta Warriors. Each figure is completely unique both in facial features and expression.
Day 7: Xian Departure
Check-out of your hotel and be transferred to the airport.
