WHAT TO EXPECT

As you peer across the Demilitarized Zone at the 38th parallel, you can almost feel the weight of history on your shoulders. Experience a unique opportunity to witness the impact of geopolitics on people’s daily lives. In contrast to the tense atmosphere of the DMZ, the rural town of Gurye offers a peaceful respite. Here, you will learn about the temple life of monks, who lead a simple yet profound existence. When you’re ready to re-engage with the vibrancy of Korean culture, take a stroll through the bustling markets. The colours, smells, and sounds are overwhelming, but in the best possible way.
