Join us on this tour and visit the central spots in Zagreb, expand your knowledge about the city history and traditions, try different local dishes and make unforgettable memories. We will start at farmer’s market where you will taste fresh and local ingredients and dishes such as a simple homemade peasant dish- sir i vrhnje (cottage cheese and cream), a crusty puffed pastry with fillings (burek) and some of the local fish and meat dishes. Our first stop is Motovun where 80 years ago truffles were discovered and since then they are main gastro attraction of this area. In Motovun forest experienced truffle hunters with specially trained dogs will instruct you into the truffle hunting procedure. You will get insight in this unique work and see how demanding, but relaxing and fun this job can be. How much Istria appreciates this product you can see from the fact that truffles are here usually called black diamonds. We will visit place called Livade where the largest truffle was found. Afterwards we continue to small village of Momjan, where you will meet family Markeži? at their winery Kabola. Situated at the north-west of the Istrian peninsula, on 275 m above the sea level, with the view of the Alps and Dolomites on one side and the lush greenery of intact nature and a beautiful sea panorama on the other, generations of Markeži? family have worked hard to bring you some of the best Istrian wines and olive oil. After breakfast we move south from Istria to beautiful Dalmatia. On our way we will stop at Plitvice Lakes national park where you will enjoy hiking between lakes, beneath waterfalls and admire always changing colours of water. Someone wrote: “There are water, lakes, waterfalls and forest elsewhere, but Plitvice Lakes are unique. They simply must be seen!” Over one million people every year stop in the Lika region just to be able to enjoy this masterpiece of nature. Through centuries water was carving lakes and forming waterfalls resulting with creation of 16 crystal clear lakes. It is first and the biggest National park in Croatia and the only one put on UNESCO list of natural heritage. After the tour we continue to hotel President Solin for overnight. Enjoy unique experience of having private chef and learn secrets of cooking delicious lunch from locally produced ingredients. Our first stop will be visit to Split farmers market and fish market where you will choose fresh ingredients for your lunch according to your liking and wishes. After picking all necessary ingredients you will continue to cooking studio and prepare delicious meal while the chef will provide all instructions and little secrets to perfect meal. Last and most important step is of course eating the meal you prepared while enjoying some good wine. After breakfast enjoy one hour long scenic ferry ride on a day trip to Brak island the third largest island in the Adriatic. During this full-day excursion you will visit the oldest settlement on the island, village Škrip, a home to the Museum of the Island of Bra? and Oil Museum where you will taste some of the best olive oils. Afterwards we continue to the highest point of all Croatian islands – Vidova Gora (778 meters above sea level) where you can enjoy the spectacular view of Bol and the other neighbouring islands Hvar, Kor?ula and Vis. We will end the trip with a visit to small pastoral settlement of stone houses and cattle hens, located in the original environment of the Bra? shepard’s settlements, on Vidova Gora. On a small farm you will find sheeps, goats, pigs, geese, horses and donkeys and enjoy traditional meals made from locally produced ingredients. Today we will visit Trogir, the oldest city on the Adriatic coast under UNESCO protected sites. Reveal the unique memorial heritage and adore the beautiful masterpieces of famous sculptors – the magnificent Cathedral’s portal of master Radovan and the reliefs of master Niccolò di Giovanni Fiorentino. Afterwards we continue to local etno village where you will see how locals used to live 40 years ago. Here you can see old stone houses and old gardens. Entire village is rich with herbs which are used in production of oils, sirups, beauty creams and similar.
