Journey through the heart of the Silk Road on this 8 day adventure across Uzbekistan. Begin in Tashkent, exploring ancient mosques, bustling bazaars and modern landmarks before travelling by train to legendary Samarkand, home to the majestic Registan Square and ornate mausoleums. Continue to Bukhara to wander atmospheric trading domes and historic citadels, then cross the vast Kyzyl Kum Desert to Khiva, a beautifully preserved walled city filled with minarets and palaces. Rich in history, architecture and culture, this journey brings to life the timeless wonders of Central Asia.

  • Day 1: Tashkent Arrival

    On arrival at Tashkent, meet your driver at the airport gates and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

  • Day 2: Tashkent (B)

    Meet your guide in the morning and begin exploring Tashkent’s old city with a visit to the Khazrati Imam Complex, home to historic madrasahs, mosques, and revered relics including one of the world’s oldest Korans. Continue to Chorsu Bazaar to experience the lively atmosphere of a traditional market. In the afternoon, discover the modern side of the city with stops at Independence Square, the Amir Temur Statue, and the vibrant local Broadway. See the Monument of Courage, view the Tashkent TV Tower from outside, and visit the elegant New Minor Mosque before returning to your hotel.

  • Day 3: Tashkent to Samarkand (B)

    Take a breakfast box and transfer early to Tashkent Railway Station for your train journey to Samarkand. On arrival, meet your driver and begin exploring the city’s highlights, starting with the magnificent Registan Square and its grand madrasahs. Continue to the Gur Emir Mausoleum, the final resting place of Amir Temur, and visit the impressive Bibi Khanum Mosque. Stroll through Siyob Bazaar to experience local life, then explore the sacred Shakhi Zinda Complex and the historic Ulugbek Observatory. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel for check in and overnight stay.

  • Day 4: Samarkand to Bukhara (B)

    Check out of your hotel and drive to Bukhara, enjoying the changing landscapes along the way. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and check in before meeting your guide in the afternoon. Begin exploring the holy city with a visit to the Poyi Kalon Architectural Ensemble, featuring the iconic Kalon Minaret, Kalon Mosque, and Miri Arab Madrasah. Continue with a walk around the atmospheric Lyabi Khauz Complex, a peaceful area surrounded by historic buildings.

  • Day 5: Bukhara (B)

    Meet your local guide in the morning and continue exploring Bukhara with visits to the Samanids Mausoleum, the elegant Bolo Khauz Mosque, and the Ark Citadel, once a powerful city within a city. Afterwards, enjoy time to wander through the historic Trading Domes, known as the Coumpol Bazaar, where you can browse traditional crafts and experience the atmosphere of this ancient Silk Road marketplace.

  • Day 6: Bukhara to Khiva (B)

    Depart in the morning for a scenic drive to Khiva, travelling through the vast red sands of the Kyzyl Kum Desert, once part of the ancient Khorezm region known as the land of a thousand cities. As you journey across this remote and historic landscape, imagine the long caravan routes of the past. On arrival in Khiva, check in to your hotel and enjoy time to rest and unwind.

  • Day 7: Khiva to Tashkent (B)

    Meet your guide in the morning and explore Khiva’s Ichan Kala, a well preserved ancient city filled with historic landmarks. Visit highlights including the Ismail Khodja Mausoleum, Muhammad Amin Khan Madrassah, Kunya Ark Castle, the striking Kalta Minor Tower, Tash Khovli Palace, Pakhlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, and the unique Djuma Mosque. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight from Urgench to Tashkent. On arrival, meet your driver and transfer to your hotel for check in and overnight stay.
