Upon arrival, you will board your Mango Cruises’ Sampan at Sadec after exploring this charming town, which is the backdrop for the film ‘The Lover’, based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Marguerite Duras.
The story is about a teenage French girl who falls in love with a wealthy Chinese man, Huynh Thuy Le, their romance ended when his father arranged marriage for him with another Chinese girl and Marguerite Duras left Vietnam to go back to France with her broken heart. She later became a famous writer, and her own true story soon became well known.
The program will begin with a cycling trip to the local flower village. Take in the numerous farms which produce flowers year-round. Return to the cruise and head to Cai Be while you enjoying a refreshing welcome cocktail on the deck while meeting your crew members and enjoying the scenery and fresh air from the water.
Enjoy a set menu lunch onboard and cruise will then head towards Vung Liem and you can stop for a cycling trip through a local market.
In the evening, relax and enjoy your cruise then prepare for your cooking demonstration while enjoying your dinner.

Breakfast will be served onboard while you are enjoying the sunrise and you will start to you to cruise to Ben Tre, the coconut kingdom! Make a stop enroute where you will get off the boat and take the a bicycle trip through the village. Continue cycling through the village to explore the peaceful and untouched area. Return to your boat and begin cruising to Ben Tre.
The cruise will make various stops in the day allowing you time to see the local countryside.

Enjoy breakfast onboard. The sampan will take you to visit one of our friends, Mrs. Huong, who lives with her 3 children and grandson – they live on fishing, shrimp and fruit orchards. Enjoy a rowing boat trip and stop for fresh fruits and tea before reconnecting to your cruise. End your program by saying your final good-byes to the crew.
At 10:30, hop on a tri-motor cycle (xe loi) and explore the lush surroundings of rice paddies and fruit farms along narrow village roads. Arrive at the waterfront, where you'll board the Mango Cruise and enjoy coconut juice while taking in the scenic Delta views.
First stop: visit a coconut processing plant. Back on the cruise, continue to a brick-making shop where locals use traditional methods to handcraft bricks. Then, cycle around Phong Nam village for about 4 km. Afterward, head to Mrs. Huong’s house, where you'll enjoy tropical fruits and honey tea in her garden. Next, embark on a rowing sampan trip through the maze of canals.
Continue to Mango Home restaurant for a delicious 5-course lunch before cycling or walking 500m to Mr. Ba Tài’s house. Learn about the fascinating process of rice wine making. Finally, visit Mr. Sau Tuong, a former Vietcong soldier, to see how rice paper is made and taste the crispy rice paper his wife prepares.
Return to Mango Home to relax by the pool or unwind in the seating areas before enjoying dinner at the Mango Home Restaurant.
Overnight will be spent in the Mango Home Riverside.
Breakfast will be served at the restaurant and the rest of the day will be at your leisure. Perhaps you would enjoy a day of simply relaxing by the pool, booking a massage, or relaxing in a hammock with a good book. For our guest who wish to see more of our area, we can provide a map and bicycle for self-exploration. At 12:00pm, it will be time to check-out of the room and enjoy a set menu lunch. After your lunch a private car will take you back to HCMC. Many of our guests enjoy a longer stay and if so, please advise at the time of booking. We will offer late checkout, when possible, but otherwise be happy to hold your luggage as you enjoy all the amenities of Mango Home. Check out and you will be transfered to the meeting point, where your car is waiting for you. End of tour.

Cycling in Ben Tre’s Coconut Kingdom: Cycle through peaceful villages surrounded by coconut groves, seeing how coconuts are harvested and used in local life.
