The little train on the east coast. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in local life. It will take about 10 hours to travel through 163km of rainforest, mountains and coastal plain, descending 1200m to the coast, through 48 tunnels and 68 bridges. A real adventure!

The Isalo Massif is a continental sandstone plateau formed from the Jurassic period. There are many rock formations with different shapes, showing how nature has adapted to the dry climate. This park has a different ecosystem with many endemic Rupicolous flora such as Aloe, Euphorbia, Pachypodium and Kalanchoe. We picnic in the Tapia Forest. Some walks are possible and going up to summit gives splendid views. NB: Walk pace and duration depend on clients (minimum 2h).

We stop on the way to see Mahafaly tribe’s typical tombs so nicely painted and decorated, on which are erected some amazing wooden sculptures. The sea can be seen from far away before we reach Tulear. Continue to Tsiandamba. A rather long way but the sights are gorgeous!

Days at leisure. It is certainly the most beautiful lagoon in Madagascar. The site is totally isolated, you are alone in the world. Here, it is the Vezo fishermen who populate the region.
