Day 4: Tan Chau – Phnom Penh Enjoy the serene morning scenery on the Sky deck as the ship sails towards the Vietnam-Cambodia border. Following a leisurely breakfast, choose from various onboard activities or simply savour the picturesque views as you cross into Cambodia. Your day concludes as you arrive in Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s charming capital. Attend an engaging pre-dinner lecture about Cambodia and learn some basic Khmer phrases before an overnight stay.
Day 5: Phnom Penh Embark on a cyclo ride to the majestic Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda complex, where you’ll admire exquisite architecture and valuable treasures. Visit the nearby National Museum to explore the world’s largest collection of Khmer art. After lunch, pay a solemn visit to Choeung Ek, a memorial to the Khmer Rouge’s victims. The day ends in style at Raffles Hotel Le Royal, where you can enjoy a signature cocktail at the Elephant Bar. Return to the ship for a lively Khmer Apsara dancing performance and the opportunity to meet the performers.
Day 6: Phnom Penh – Koh Chen – Koh Dach – Angkor Ban Begin your day with a tour of the village of Koh Chen, where you’ll meet local copper and silversmiths. Afterward, travel by coach to Oudong, Cambodia’s ancient capital, and stop at the intriguing Vipassana Dhura Meditation Center. Enjoy lunch onboard before heading to Silk Island by a three-wheeled tuk-tuk to learn about silk weaving and witness local families crafting the iconic Cambodian krama.
Day 7: Angkor Ban – Han Chey – Kampong Chham Explore the rustic village of Angkor Ban in the morning, known for its wooden stilt houses and local charm. Savor lunch on board as the Victoria Mekong sails to Wat Hanchey, a hilltop temple from the 7th century. Climb the temple steps for panoramic views over the Mekong River.
Day 8: Kampong Chham – Siem Reap Disembark from the ship in Kampong Chham and traverse the picturesque Cambodian countryside. Arrive in Siem Reap, the gateway to the mystical Angkor Complex, and conclude your cruise program with a final lunch.
