Day 1: Siem Reap – Kampong Chham – Angkor Ban Begin your Mekong River cruise adventure by traveling from Siem Reap to Kampong Chham. After lunch, meet the crew for your 7-night journey and savour the first Mekong River sunset. Enjoy a pre-dinner lecture about Cambodia and learn some Khmer phrases. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 2: Angkor Ban – Koh Dach – Koh Chen Explore the charming village of Angkor Ban with its stilt houses and local atmosphere. After lunch on the ship, travel by tuk-tuk to Silk Island, where you’ll discover the art of silk weaving, from cocoon to loom, and observe local families crafting the iconic Cambodian krama.
Day 3: Koh Chen – Oudong – Phnom Penh Visit the village of Koh Chen, famous for its local copper- and silversmiths. Later, journey by coach to Oudong, the ancient capital of Cambodia, and visit the Vipassana Dhura Meditation Center. Enjoy lunch onboard and then take a pedal-powered cyclo to the Raffles Hotel Le Royal for a signature cocktail. Return to the ship for dinner and entertainment in Phnom Penh.
Day 4: Phnom Penh Begin the day exploring the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Admire the intricate architecture, silver floor tiles, and magnificent Buddha statues. After lunch, visit Choeung Ek, a haunting memorial at the Killing Fields, before enjoying a performance of Khmer Apsara dancing on board. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 5: Phnom Penh – Tan Chau – Vam Nao The ship heads towards the Cambodia-Vietnam border. Start with morning exercise on the Sky Deck, followed by breakfast. Participate in onboard activities or simply enjoy the scenery as you cross the border. After lunch, explore the local market and temple by rickshaw. Return to the ship for a traditional Vietnamese lion dance, dinner, and evening entertainment in Vam Nao.
Day 6: Vam Nao – Tiger Island – Long Xuyen Enjoy breakfast in Phu Tan, the capital of An Giang. Visit a craft village renowned for crafting Ca Rang clay stoves with unique wind-blocking designs. After lunch, the ship anchors near Tiger Island. Explore the island by 3-wheeled “xe loi,” learning about cottage industries like plant pot and incense making. Discover “Mr. Tiger’s Temple” and enjoy a cocktail competition onboard.
Day 7: Long Xuyen – Dinh Yen – Can Tho Cruise towards Long Xuyen and witness the mesmerizing Long Xuyen floating market. Explore the An Giang Museum and observe the making of colourful straw mats in Dinh Yen village. Discover the process of making tofu skin and enjoy a traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music performance. Conclude the day with a farewell dinner in Can Tho.
Day 8: Can Tho – Cai Be – Sai Gon Have breakfast at Claypot Restaurant, enjoy the view, and then disembark. Board a coach for Cai Be, where lunch awaits at Le Longanier Restaurant amid lush fruit trees by the river. Conclude your journey in Ho Chi Minh City, in the mid-afternoon.
