DAY 1 -2
Arrival Pakse and Champasak
On arrival in Pakse, transfer to your hotel. Tour the town of Pakse and the forested Bolaven Plateau. Visit Champasak and the mysterious World Heritage listed, pre-Angkorian Wat Phou temple. Set out from a small Lao village to the top of Phou Asa Hill, a former warrior training ground.
DAY 2
4,000 Islands
A short drive leads to the 4,000 Islands region and Khong Island. An exploration by small boat reveals quaint fishing villages, learn a little about the French colonisation of Laos and see impressive waterfalls.
DAY 3
Mekong River
Cruise the Mekong in search of Irrawaddy dolphins and see Southeast Asia’s largest waterfall.
DAY 4
Pakse Departure
Return to Pakse for your onward journey.
