Itinerary
Day 1: Paro
On arrival in Paro be transferred to your hotel. Stay the next two nights at Tashi Namgay Resort.
Day 2: Paro
Venture to Paro Taktsang, also known as the Tiger Nest, which is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on a cliffs edge. (BLD)
Day 3: Paro to Thimphu
This morning, journey to Thimphu, the capital town of Bhutan. Stay the next two nights at Hotel Namgay Heritage. (BLD)
Day 4: Thimphu
Embark on a scenic walk to Tango monastery which is situated north of Thimphu. Continue on to Folk Heritage Museum, the Museum is dedicated to connect people with the rich Bhutanese Folk heritage through exhibits, and educational programs. (BLD)
Day 5: Thimphu to Punakha
Travel on the scenic National Highway crossing Dochula, the first of several Himalayan passes on your journey through Bhutan. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Stay the next two nights at Meri Puensum Resort. (BLD)
Day 6: Punakha
Embark on a walking tour to Chimi Lhakhang – This temple is also known as the temple of fertility. (BLD
Day 7: Punakha to Gangtey
Continue the drive to Gangtey. The valley of Gangtey is one of the most beautiful spots in Bhutan. This evening visit Gangtey Goenpa which is perched on a ridge overlooking the picturesque valley. Overnight at Hotel Dewachen. (BLD)
Day 8: Gangtey to Bumthang
Continue your journey to Trongsa. Upon arrival, visit Trongsa Dzong, built in 1648 it was the seat of power over central and eastern Bhutan. Stay the next two nights at Wangdicholing Resort. (BLD)
Day 9: Bumthang
Enjoy a full day tour exploring Bumthang including Jakar valley and Jakar Dzong, the impressive fortress which also serves as the administrative centre of the region. (BLD)
Day 10: Bumthang to Mongar
Travel through the countryside to Mongar. This journey from Bumthang to Mongar is one of the most beautiful in the Himalayas. Overnight at Hotel Wangchuk. (BLD)
Day 11: Mongar to Trashigang
Venture east as you drive to Trashigang. Overnight at Lingkhar Lodge. (BLD)
Day 12: Trashigang to Samdrup Jongkhar
Travel to Samdrup Jongkhar and enjoy a visit to a bustling local market. Overnight at Hotel TLT. (BLD)
Day 13: Samdrup Jongkhar to Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Delhi.Overnight at Novotel New Delhi. (B)
Day 14: Delhi
Enjoy breakfast before being transferred to the airport for your onward journey. (B)
